I'm been looking at getting an FX6300 for awhile for my new build but now have a dilemma. Microcenter has an FX8320 with ASRock 970 Extreme4 (which is what I wanted to pair with the 6300) for $160 (love the price here). However, I read some posts about problems with that board and the 8000 series cpus. I could get the 8320 with an Asus m5a99fx to solve that issue, but now it's $190. To cap it off, I recently became aware of the i5 3570k as great gaming cpu, which Microcenter has combined with an ASRock z77 extreme4 for $235. Is it worth it? I'd love to stick with the $160 combo if it will work. I'm not a hardcore gamer but want to be able to play games like Battlefield 4 at decent settings on a 1080p tv. I already have a Corsair 500 watt psu and a Powercolor 7870 gpu. Appreciate any help.

the 6300 is slightly slower then the intel i5 cpu. the 8300 in games is almost as fast as intel i5 but in some apps the 8300 is faster then the i5. if i was buying combo i get the 4670k and asus -a mb. the 1150 mb let you drop in another cpu lattler on. the 1155 one that you picked out is end of life product.
