Will a 550TI work with a 760?

So I am looking to upgrade my system a little bit for faster Sony Vegas Rendering and getting it ready for Battlefield 4.

I currently has a GTX 550ti inside and I was wondering if it would be better to buy another 550ti, or buy a 760ti. Also will the GTX 550ti work with a 760 since its an old card and a new card?

It is SLI ready.

SLI means you can add another card of the same model, so you could add a second 550ti.

A 760 is more powerful than SLI 550 ti's, but a 670 is more powerful than either and is cheaper than the 760 after MiR!

Nvidia is actually re-releasing the 670 as the "760 ti" and will be charging more money for it that either the 670 or 760 is going for now. I recommend snapping up the remaining 670's that are $250 or less while you can.

I grabbed a pair when the zotac 670's were at microcenter for $200, and might grab this asus as well for HTPC use (it's the short board version)
