Hi all. Building a general use PC for my parents, no gaming and low end photoshop use (My mother tries to use it). The following parts are what I have chosen for a cheap build with parts I can source easily from the following NZ online store: www.computerlounge.co.nz

HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLUE WD10EZEX 1TB 64MB CACHE SATA3 $89.95
www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=17032

www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=19198

Case: COOLERMASTER SILENCIO 352 MID TOWER CASE ( SIL-352M-KKN1 ) $149.95
www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=20331

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24D3ST GREEN DVD WRITER SATA $49.95
www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=18942

Total Price (excluding OS) = $919.65

Open to any ideas or changes!! My only variable currently is whether I need a 8Gb RAM module but I can only find singular 4Gb modules. Is that an issue?

Thanks to anyone who comments :D

Sorry im late back on this one. Nothing performance wise, just seems a tad on the expensive side for a general use PC for the parents.

Some people are used to a little better performance though so if it's right for them then it's no issue.
