Hello!

I recently bought a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO to replace my old stock CPU cooler which was too loud and didn't cool very well. I'm pleased with the cooling effects of the new CPU-fan however the sound levels are still bothering me. When i do regular things (non-gaming related) i can change my CPU-fan speed without a problem (using SpeedFan) so that the noise level is nice and quiet. Unfortunately when i start playing games (AC 4 specifically, not sure about any other games) the CPU-fan turns to automatic and the rpm eventually increases to an unbearable sound-level (within 5 minutes or so).

Things I've tried that didn't work:

  • Activating a maximum CPU-fan speed in SpeedFan
Going into BIOS and enabling a maximum CPU-fan speed

Hence my question is; Do you know of any way to fix my problem?

Solution
Bounce I'm sorry to burst your bubble but the only thing you did was to repeat the fact that my fan is in fact noisy and you also answered my question/post without actually reading it first (i did try to change things in the BIOS). Further answers will be much appreciated!
