How many case fans does this motherboard support?

and the case I want to get has 5 pre-installed fans.

I assume the motherboard will support 2 but I am not sure.

would that be all I need?

It's not really important if they are all connected to the motherboard or not. You can connect them directly to the PSU. It's just that you can't monitor them when they are connected to the PSU. But yeah, if you absolutely want to monitor speed, that Touch Screen Fan Controller will do the job.
