I know the red only has single sticks up to 4GB, but I need 8GB singles. I already have two 8GB blacks and was wondering what the diff is between the blu and black.

Solution
While it's never a good idea to mix DRAM if you have to, best to go with the same exact model (and even that can be problematic - that's why they sell sticks in a variety of amounts and the bigger sets cost a little more - takes time to find 4 sticks that all play nice together ;) ) but with same exact model can often get them to play with minor voltage/timing adjustments if they don't want to play out of the package

WOW! I had no clue there was so many variances!! How can I tell which 'version' of HyperX black I currently have? And should I stick with the same Black version that I already have or would the Blu be an option?

Thanks, that's what I thought would be the best case scenario.
The final question...by looking at the physical stick itself, will that be labeled with info that I would use to buy the same type?
