Will I also be banned in Cod Ghosts?

If you were VAC banned, then it's across all games on your Steam account that use VAC. Better create a new Steam account.

Edit: Update, sorry, actually I might be wrong here. It seems a VAC ban on a Steam account bans you from all multiplayer games with the same engine. Example, if you got banned on TF2, you're also banned in Half Life Deathmatch, Counter Strike, Garrys mod etc.

Not sure if VAC recognizes Blackops 2 and Ghost as the same engine, since they all use updates versions of the IW engine.

Sure it's not a Vac ban? Since Black Ops 2 uses VAC as it's any cheat system. Only way to get banned, is by VAC on the PC.

Well.. Its not a Steam VAC ban. When I join a gems it says: "You have permenatly been banned from cod bo2 servers" but also black ops is treyarch
and ghosts is Infinity Ward. So I dont see how I would?

Regarding the engines, Treyarch uses the engine from Infinity Wards, called IW. However for each Call of Duty release, each Studio modifies the engine heavily.

I think you should be okay, but don't send me your $60 bill if it doesn't work ;)

Edit: I just read that someone said he has been banned in MW3, but can still play MW2 multiplayer. Seems to be ok I guess.
