I have a Lenovo Desktop, Whenever I power up, the system turns on and checks the DVD/CD drives and then stops. I have to play with the power on button and unplug the machine before it enters into POST properly. I thought that it was the hard drive about to fail, so I replaced it. Now it takes more than 4 attempts to start the machine. I also thought it was the Graphics card that I use instead of the onboard graphics. I took the card out and used the on board graphics, but that was not the problem either. I cleaned the dust off of the motherboard, fans, heat sink, CPU, power supply and case. I reseated the memory sticks. Now I am just wondering what else can I do to make my machine boot up on the first try. Any suggestions?
