ssd notebook kit for desktop??

they have Samsung 840 Evo 500GB 2.5" SATA-III Internal Solid State Drive with Notebook Installation Kit, 540MB/sec Read 520 MB/sec Write Sequential Speed listed online right now for $299.99 which I thought seemed like a good deal. I get confused where it says notebook kit though...does that mean this wont work in a desktop? or that it comes with a kit to help it fit in laptops?

notebook kit gives you extra parts that you won't need - like a spacer and a USB-SATA cable. but a desktop kit would give you a 3.5/2.5 mounting bracket, which you might want/need. but you can buy ANY of that stuff separately if you truly need it. on eBay, shipped from China, at your door in 2-3 weeks.

The notebook kit just comes with a SATA to USB adapter. It's still a 2.5" SSD that can
be used in both desktops and laptops. If your desktop can't mount 2.5" drives then
you'll also have to get a 3.5" to 2.5" mounting kit.
