So im building another computer for my BF who is in the same room as me.

The router is however out in the living room, and we already have a long ass ethernet cord stretching to our room for my computer which is right next to the door. My question is this, is it possible to get him connected without having to stretch another long ass cord to our room, on the cheap?

Could we conntect an ethernet cable to my computer and get the same effect, or is there an ethernet splitter or something similar?

Thanks!

The ethernet "splitter" is the router.
You could put the router in your room and connect both computer with short cables, and then use the one long cable back to the modem.
You could connect wirelessly, if one or both computers have (or you buy) that feature (I'm presuming your router has antennas on it.
