Hi I just bought Samsung 840 pro SSD 128 GB. I intend to do clean install windows 8 pro 64 bit on it. However when I reached the part that it would ask me where to install the OS, I only see 119 GB not the 128 GB I am expecting. Hope someone could help

Here are my specs

Processor Athlon II X4 630
MOB GA 970A-Ds3p

Solution
Windows and the manufacturer have slight varying definitions of a "gigabyte". Windows usually recognizes less than the manufacturer claims that is normal. My 64 GB ssd is read as a 55GB

That is absolutely normal.
This is my 128GB Kingston drive:

You'll be fine.

In some cases the difference is because of the different units used by manufacturer and Windows.
Windows is using 1GB = 1,024 x 1,024 x 1,024 (1,073,741,824) bytes however some manufacturers use 1GB = 1,000 x 1,000 x 1,000 bytes what is really only 0.931GB so manufacturer's 128GB will result in 119.2 real GB.

For SSDs there's another factor what affects the real capacity namely the over provisioning. If you install Samsung Magician you can control over provisioning.
