Is the NVIDIA GT 610 good for light gaming

I have purchased a computer, and have heard mixed reviews about the GPU included. I don't want any biased answers. I want to play Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and other Source and Valve games. I don't want to play any hyper-demanding games, just simple ones

Its not good. The last few generations of integrated Intel HD graphics are faster than the gt 610.

has only 48 cuda cores.
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-550ti/specifications
has 192 cores or is a better gaming card.
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt640/specifications
has 384.
for the money the gt 640 or amd 7750/7770 would be a good deal.

Your card will be ok for them tasks but on low settings you may get some fair decent titles running.

its not for gaming, gt640 minimum. but check your psu before you buy, as it may need upgrading.

I intend to upgrade my PC to a Radeon 7770. I will also be adding a fan, and a 500w PSU. Thanks for answering, everyone that did. I won't be able to upgrade for a while, so I guess I'll have to deal with it for a bit.
