Hi guys, I'm clueless when it comes to computer hardwares, but am looking to upgrade my memory.

I have the GA-X58A-UD3R - and I was told that I have to buy ram in sets of 3? But these prices are sooo expensive compared to the regular pairs of ram.

I currently only have 6gb of ram, am looking to upgrade since its black friday. What are my options? Any help would be much appreciated!

thank all!

if you dont mind taking a little performance hit most of intel mb you can run with one or two dimms. if you add the same speed and size ram in the open banks most mb will see and run with the extra ram in one channel mode not tripple channel mode.

used for gaming mostly -- nothing too fancy though, for now just WoW, GW2 and some steam games

could use some advice on video cards too if you guys don't mind.

I have an antec sonata case - and was wondering if the this card will fit?

or this one

Which would be a better choice?

Currently using a GTX 460 768 mb - if this is helpful info lol.

Thank you so much
