Today, I started up the computer only to get a boot error message with the status code 0x000000f, and a message to run the windows 7 recovery disk. However, the computer isnt reading the disk and I cant think of any other fix to the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Solution
Your computer will not read/boot from the recovery disc until you make the DVD drive the first boot device in the BIOS Setup.

You can also select it as a boot device by pressing F12 at the splash screen during the boot process.
If F12 doesn't work, reboot and try F11 instead.
