Okey so my backup HP computer's graphics card is becoming shit now and many problems are acquiring

im currently looking into the GT640 , series of cards as its just really a backup system but enough to play some games and manage adobe products with better ease

http://www.dabs.com/products/pny-geforce-gt-640-900mhz-2gb-pci-express-3-0-hdmi-84FM.html

im having a really hard time here , cause i have no idea how much of of my PS is being drawn threw-out the hole system on high loads , my currently card a GT320

i have no clue what the power-draw is on that , the OEM products from nvidia say 43W MAX and to at least have a 300W PS , this is my system that i need to upgrade http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02490933&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4228021#N260

now im sorry to dismiss this but im not looking for a new PS mostly because HP cases are pretty stupid when wanting to upgrade some stuff and the PS being one of them

Just needing help picking a somewhat little upgrade of a car to replace my GT320

i guess this can count as more info on the matter , relating to my PSU : http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/HPE-340uk-PSU-kinda-confused/m-p/2232567

this leads to the HP forums encase you were wondering

Solution
The i3 540 uses 115w at max load and your motherboard in that system uses a max of 95w and the 2gb gt640 ddr3 only uses 50w max according to nvidia website specs. Your older gt 320 uses 43w max so you wont have any issues

i have no clue on where to find that ,cause HP's powersupply has a bunhc of +12vA & 12vB & +12vC = MAX COMBINED POWER 342W

etc etc so i would not really have a clue where to find this

all it has is
MODEL
INPUT
OUTPUT
MAX COMBINE POWER ON x2 both having different sets of equations

but still my i3 processor must be drawing alot of power and the Mobo is drawn quite a few as well

even tho people say i3's are terrible they are pretty decent and are not taken for granted

even tho the GT640 is PCI-e powered drawn from the Mobo same with my current graphics card , i still want to be exactly sure il be safe even when the card is on high load , even tho its might be 40W more at MAX load , i dont know and you dont know that the PS might all ready be at its limits and taken it beyond what it can all ready handle will either cost me a new system cause it could all fry or a new PS and possible another graphics card

thats why im trying to diagnose to see if il have plenty of power to spare while stuff is on high load
