Playstation shutter glasses will not work with the nVidia IR emitter. You need nVidia 3D vision or vision 2 shutter glasses. I am not aware of any kind of "starter pack" with 2 glasses and an IR emitter.

There is the default kit, that has one 3D glasses, and one IR emitter. You can buy a second set of 3D Glasses on ebay for ~$40 (Retail is like $75 for just the glasses - hence, shop eBay ;) ) You only need one emitter PER computer. So if JUST you want it, and he doesn't want it on his, you can get the IR emitter and as many 3D glasses as you want for people to watch you game in 3D. But if he wants to game in 3D too on his upgraded computer, he'll need his own emitter.

Hope that helps.
