Help with crossfire and 2 different GPUs

I'm ignorant with crossfire mechanics, etc. but I'm wondering if I added a AMD Radeon HD 7870 with a GTX 680 what could be benefits? Any bottlenecking, etc.?

MotherBoard : Maximus V Extreme
CPU : Ivy bridge i7-3770k

You cannot Crossfire/SLI an AMD Radeon card with an NVidia Geforce card. SLI utilizes two identical model NVidia Geforce cards. Crossfire utilizes two nearly identical AMD Radeon cards.

Ah okay, so if I wanted another GPU it would have to be a gtx 680? And again, would this cause bottlenecking because of i7-3770k?

Yes, you'd need another GTX680. As far as bottlenecking goes, I'd say you're ok with the I7-3770k.
