Hey guys,

My laptop has not been able to keep up with the CAD and light Gaming that I do as an Engineering student and i'm looking to build a desktop for $400 dollars or less that will better support my activities. I realize that at that price it'll be unlikely that I can get a machine that will fully support CAD software. Fortunately my campus has sweet machines at my disposal. I mainly need something that will make-do while i'm at home.

My intentions are to start a build that I can upgrade when more funds come my way. Here's the parts i've come up with:

Could anyone give some feedback on the compatibility of these parts or even suggest better and/or cheaper alternatives?

AMD FX 8320 is 129.99 on newegg until black Friday ends. Go with that, the extra cores will go a LONG way if working with 3d sculpting and rendering etc.
