I'm going to be building my first gaming PC for around $1,200-$1,300. I would like to know if these are good enough for a gaming PC for this price:

For that price, it would be nice to get a better video card and a SSD.

AMD CPU being cheaper than Intel, AMD build has a R9-290 where as the Intel only has a R9-280x.
I've change the ram to match theme of the board,both are the same price.
