I like to do animation in Cinema 4d as well as in Adobe After Effects. But the problem is, the rendering time is way too high. and once I was told to get a higher RAM to reduce the time.
For a simple animation video of 10-15 seconds with some high details, it would take me around 40 hours, which isn't what I want. So I want to add one another RAM to the existing 4GB RAM(as I have one unused slot on my laptop).

I just hoped maybe someone would help me get a more clear idea how to choose and what to choose, and if there must be some sync between the existing RAM and the new RAM that I am gonna buy.

Your help is really appreciated.
Thank you.

yes, unfortunately, you need to buy a better laptop/desktop to improve your rendering times. Ram will not help. A powerful CPU/GPU is needed for faster rendering.

Adding RAM is going to do little to improve your rendering times. You are most limited by CPU power and storage drive speed. There is basically nothing you can do to get any worthwhile improvement from your current laptop; your best bet is to save up to get a significantly newer/faster laptop/desktop, or possibly think about assembling your own.
