HI! I got this with my delta Fan and I am wondering what the connector with one wire goes, does it go to the Motherboard Fan pins? I ask because its only one pin so I guess its only for RMP reading, is this correct?

Is this correct?
1: I figure that the molex is for Power
2: The three pin male connector is for going to a controller ( Which I have )
3: The three ( single wire ) female connector is going to fan pins non MB.

Here is a link to the connector that came with my Delta fan.

ps: sorry if I posted another post with a very similar question. it is directly related but I think if this gets answered the other will be too :)

Solution
That cable is for powering a 3-pin fan. The yellow wire is the fan's tachometer signal that gets sent to the motherboard's 3-pin fan header for monitoring fan speed.

You would need a custom cable that taps off the tach sensor cable to feed it to the motherboard fan header. The cable you've shown won't work.

hmm. I would have to split off of each fan to the MOBO. There must a cable out there as I cannot be the only one whom is in need of this, I will take look around.

Thanks for all you help and patience :)
