I am looking for either a high performance computer with a decent graphic card or a moderately priced gaming machine. I have a budget (for just the motherboard) of ~$1400.

The two I've seen to have the best deals within the range are
Are these reasonably priced? Are the specs decent? Am I looking at the right brands?

I've heard that it's easy to save some money by building it myself, but it's the first time buying a desktop for me, and unless the difference is significant, I would rather not take the risks.

the newegg is a better pc. it a standard case and parts. it let you replace the parts yourself if one fails or upgrade the pc at a latter time. the dell and hp and other pre built pc..use small cases and power supplys.

Thanks for your response :)

I was pretty sure that Newegg is better. However, I've seen quite a few "horror stories" regarding IBuyPower, and was wondering whether I should really be avoiding them.

i would email vendor and ask the make of the power supply in there system. if it a no name unit then replace it with a cosair or sesonic.
