So my computer died the other day so I purchased the same mobo bc my old 8gb was giving me the
Red led dram. So I decided to pick up a few other things to upgrade gtx 760, 850w psu, and the vengeance 8gb. When both sticks are in I get the red light, I tried 1 each stick individually in every slot and they both work. I appreciate the help its been a couple frustrating days with this issue

did you install the newest bios file. run cpu-z and read both ram sticks see if there the same speed and voltage and part numbers. mixing dimms sometimes wont work..if the vendor starts using newer ram modules on there sticks and they dont like the older ram.

put in windows os.
under bios the newest bios file is 2204.
download it to your hard drive. then copy to a usb stick. plug the usb stick into usb 2.0 port. and reboot with the stick plugged in. go into the bios and go into advance mode. click on the tab that says update. you have to seach for the bios file with the bios updater when it find the file let it run and reboot. when it reboots after a min or two go back in make sure the main bios screen says 2204. safe the bios to factory default and reboot. on the reboot go back into the bios. turn on xmp profile and set the video to peg. the tab you want is the tools tab.

And this is all done using 1 stick correct? Bc 2 would keep giving me an error. One more question is should I install my new graphics before or after the bios
