I built my first custom PC the other day. Just finished it today, everything was fine, Installed windows 8 but about 5 mins after fully setting it up etc. It froze. Restarted the PC, again, froze after a random amount of minutes. Then after about the 5 time of turning it back on the graphics card failed, and recovered, this is why I believe this may be the cause of the issue. Any ideas?

I have no idea whats going on right now. Basicly I tried to reinstall windows through the settings reset thing. Well it froze at 1%. Now Windows 8 I cant boot into, the recovery keeps freezing at 1%. Windows 7 Install freezes. What is causing all these freezings?... Feeling like an idiot/noob

So far, the computer has started up, installed and all that, perfectly fine, Ill let you know if it decides to freeze again

Good deal I hope its working for you as you get the system running for some time test it ect and then if all seems ok add that second stick of ram remember slots 1 and 3 or slots 2 and 4 for your ram not paired together on the board 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 ....

Opps. Fail there. Yeah, unfortunatley it still froze. It seems to be lasting now. Im trying to install as many drivers before it freezes to posible fix the problem.

So, it turns out, after much research and trial and error. One of the mem sticks was bad. Luckily the computer is working great now, and I'm going to get the mem stick replaced! Thanks for all your help!
