Printer MFC 7420, desktop with Vista OS. After message: "Change drum soon" appear printer stop working, have replaced a drum. Printer begin working for one week but the message still on display. Now it's stop working again. Could be this message the cause of problem with printer? How can I set up the printer to avoid this message ?

Have you tried to uninstall the printer and reinstall it? if not try that if you continue to get the errors your printer may be dying.

in the printer set up some printer you need to reset the drum count. the drum and or printer cartriges of some printers have small eproms on them that tell the printer there page counts. on pahe 11-29 there a replaced drum yes/no in the printer set up.
