Hello everybody I'm about to build my first PC here shortly. I've done a ton of research on it and I've came here a few times around to see what you guys thought. Well, I'm back and I've adjusted a fair amount of my parts. Heh, two days till I buy this PC, and I want to make sure that everything will work properly. Anyways, please tell me what you think :).

What am I building it for: Gaming
My total budget is : $1950

I am receiving a x79 motherboard (Asus IV Extreme Black Edition) from a friend, so it is not included in my total build price.

Question I have:

* Is my ram compatible with the motherboard I have?
* In near future if I get another GTX 780 Ti will my power supply be able to handle it?
* Will my power supply power everything needed?
* How long does it take for newegg usually to ship things?
* Suggestions that will improve my build?

Windows 8.1 is faster - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832416776

Your ram is expensive. This is cheaper and will perform the same: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

This one is cheaper and 80+ GOLD for better efficiency.

some people prefer windows 7 like me. The PSU you posted does not cost less than the one he had

That's why there are tons of programs that turn Windows 8 to look like Windows 7 for free, but then you keep all of the pros of Windows 8 (faster boot times, better security, longer support period).

Also, the psu I listed is cheaper, but only for today. It's $125 after rebate, but then there's a -$25 promotion code that ends today. That makes it $100 after rebate while the OP's psu is $120 after rebate and then $7 shipping for $127 after everything. I would suggest buying the psu I listed today.

Not really. 850w will still have a good amount of headroom for overclocking and SLI.
If you really want to be safe, then just grab this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438010&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Yeah I'll buying the 1000w. Also another question is 2400mhz ram faster than 1866mhz? I heard that the higher mhz you go the more latency you encounter.

Yes 2400mhz is faster than 1866mhz, but the speed increase is very negligible. RAM speeds provide a very very small performance increase, even from 1600mhz to 2400mhz you won't notice it. Stick with the standard 1.5v, CAS 9, 1600/1866 mhz (whichever is cheaper).
