Psu Wtf is going on

So my psu was making this clicking noise only when idle but when i played a game it stopped. . So i decided to change my psu from upside down to upside up. Know the noise stopped. What was going on

Fx 6300
saphhire 7950
cx 600 psu

Probably the PSU fan is cheap-ish, and the bearing either got worn out or was never designed to be hung upside down... the reason the noise stopped when you were gaming is either that it got drowned out by other fans or, if the PSU fan adjusted itself based on temp, it increased speed, and caused enough difference to quiet the noise.
