I bought an fx 8320 and a AsRock Extreme 3 970 plus a 120gb ssd at microcenter earlier. All i need is the rest of the components this is what i had in mind. The problem is the before rebates is way too far from my goal. I can use about 280 before rebates. Here's my build. Btw im buying the parts ASAP

The build was supposed to be for gaming, but its not coming out well :p

What is this for? The parts look ok, but if you want to game then it'll be below average due to GPU.

The build was supposed to be for gaming, but its not coming out well. Is there anyway to improve graphics? Otherwise I don' mind waiting to upgrade in a couple months

Actually if you want a gaming build, get r9 280x at least, you can throw any games available today at Maximum settings. and with mantle coming this december r9 280x will also gain some gaming performance boost from it.

I don't mind doing that, but right now I can't, it's way out of my budget. Is there anything we can change about the parts to fit in better graphics? Or maybe just close the rebate gap.

actually that rebate is good, almost 30$ discount, for a temporary graphics card its quite good you can still play at med to high settings on that card, just get it now and replace it later. Your system is good and ready for a graphics card upgrade anytime
