or more specifically:
this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883258065
or this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Gaming-Desktop-Computer-FX-8320-3-5GHz-Eight-Core-GTX-760-1TB-4GB-WINDOWS-7-/251391804499?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item3a881e8453

both of these links APPEAR to be complete computers with everything except the monitor, mouse and keyboard.
both are around $800 total system, both have gtx 460 as the video card

now, about me, i do not know anything at all about computers, nor do i want to. i am female, 40, and like to play farmville. my current computer takes about 3 minutes just to click on one thing before it will let me click on another.
so i want a faster computer that can take an online game that uses A LOT of resources to load the page.
i'm assuming that means i need a good video card and a good processor.
i see that the benchmark for the fx 8320 is 8136 and that the i5-4570 is 7044. so it would seem that i should gt the 8320.
both systems come with geforce gtx-760 so that is the same.
but what about the rest of the setups on these?
is the power supply enough on either one?
and i have an old type monitor that has the plue type plug with all the pins in it, and how do i tell if that will fit these computers, or will i have to also buy a new monitor.
seems like an awful lot to pay just to play farmville faster, BUT my computer is about 5 years old, and has run about 12 hours a day every day so i figure it will quit on me sometime soon, and want to have a good deal on a new computer so i thought maybe these are good, or should i wait for something better? i've looked before and have not found something this fast for the processor and videocard together. usually it's junk on one or the other. but both of these setups seem super fast.
tell me if i am better off to buy from newegg or from someone on ebay as well, kinda leery but he has good reviews from apparently happy customers.
this is my first time on here, so i hope i included what you guys will need to help me out.
also, i do not plan to make ANY changes at all to either system. i like to buy my computers and keep them just as they come. i do a lot of downloading of videos and burning, and farmville. the ebay one says it will upgrade to 8gb of memory for $40 which is what the newegg one has.

well, my dad (now deceased) built my mom a computer that plays it super fast, which has gtx460 and amd phenom II, and so that would be sufficient, and that's kinda the minimum fast i want to get, but i didnt see anything in that range for cheaper than the price for those 2 that i stated ($800). i would much rather have something like $400-600 total, but i didnt see anything decent in that price range, so i upped the price, then i find these 2 that i'm looking at for $800, which are actually (seems to be by the benchmark), much faster than my moms computer, which like i say, plays it perfectly. my current system is this
amd athlon 64 3500
GeForce 6150 LE
wow just looked at the 6150 benchmark -- it is NOTHING!!!!
junk!!
but it has been a good computer for downloading, burning dvd's, shopping, but farmville, it gets so lagged it takes like 5 minutes just to click on something, it's terrible.
definitely need to do something
i will try to find the computer you are suggesting and see what price it is.
but i'm thinking if the thing lasts 5 years liek the rest of my computers, it would be nice to buy a nice computer that isnt slow, so i dont regretfully wish i had something better later down the line.

well, you see all computers are much stronger then they need to be to run modern software. part of the reason the computer industry is struggling right now is because 90% of people who use a computer don't need anything more then a 5 year old core2duo (for your stated needed you'd fall in that group too). that 5 year old core2duo would represent a multiple generation jump in performance over that old athlon 64 3800+... i know, i used to have an old 3000+ overclocked up to around the performance of your 3800+ (if not a little faster)... so i have a pretty good grasp on the type of system you're using.

that a10-6800k is roughly equal to a quad core fx4300 + hd 6670. Its not amazing equipment by todays standards, but it's lightyears more system then you need. It will let you spend a little money on "extras" that will make an even bigger improvement in your day to day computing. things like a Solid State Drive, or spend a little more on "quiet" pc stuff to make your system whisper quiet.

If you REALLY want one of the builds you listed, i would say get that intel you were linking to, it's actually a bit better computer then that fx8320 build... frankly the biggest red flag in that fx build is the motherboard. I wouldn't trust that board over the long haul. The cpu is better for what you want to do as well.

But again, you can probably get a very nice a10-6800k prebuilt system for less $$ then that intel, including an SSD, which will make that a10 seem like the better system in everything you do on a day to day basis.

i was trying to compare the 2 motherboards, so i could learn what you are seeing is poor about the motherboard. i could see that the fx one was made by gigabyte, so was it the brand name that you didnt like, or was it something else? and on the i5 4570, all it says for the motherboard is Chipset
Intel H81 but when i type that in google, it comes up with all different brands of intel h81, so i cant find what brand that one is at all to even compare it. i did go look at lesser computers on newegg, but in the price range up to $800, it has mostly junky computers like mine, and then a few maybe $100 or so less, but with far inferior processors/and videocards than the 2 i posted. so i guess what i'm saying regarding that, is i certainly wouldnt mind spending less (who wouldnt), but to only save $100 and have far less of a computer, i may as well spend $100 more and get one of these 2 and have more than enough. i certainly agree that i dont even need anything close to what i'm looking at, but i cant even find anything similar to what my mom has (which is about half the computer than the 2 i posted) for this price. i wanted what my mom has, or something close to it, for like $500-$600, but they dont have anything close (processors yes, but the systems have videocards similar to what i currently have (junk), so in that regard, since there is only a few to choose from when i go up $200, i looked for the best (most for the money) in that price range. it could be that i dont know where to shop from, but my dad always bought from newegg, which is where i am looking at and also looked at amazon. i chose the video card first (anything higher than the benchmark for the gtx460 was suitable), then that gave me only just a few to choose from, which is great, since that makes it easier to decide. and that is where i came up with the 2 links from the original post.
going back to the motherboard. on the i5-4570, how do i even tell what kind of motherboard, or brand of motherboard it is, when all it says is intel h81, and that pulls up a whole slew of motherboards on google, with all different brands of it (including gigapyte) also. are you able to tell on that i5-4570 if it would allow me to plug in my old school monitor that has the blue plug with pins. and also, i dont have wireless set up in my house, i have a wire to cable internet to my modem, will this work? i'm so afraid i will buy this computer and not even have it able to be hooked up, or not have my monitor work with it, i hate staying with this computer i have now, but when i go to buy one, i get so frustrated wondering if i will spend all the money for a nice computer and have it not be able to be hooked up.

found the answer to the motherboard question on the question/answer page, it is MSI H81M-E33 LGA 1150 Intel H81 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. when i google that, and it comes up for newegg, unfortunately there are no reviews for it. i really am leaning towards buying the i5-4570. is this a good motherboard that it has, and are the rest of the specs ok for it? and how do you tell if you can plug in a monitor that has the blue plug with pins?
