I'm a first time builder and am looking to put together a system primarily for Photoshop and Matlab along with some casual gaming (WoW at mid-high settings). I want to buy the pieces and parts over the holidays so in the next 2 months or so. My concern right now is that I'm overpowering this system for what I really need, however I would rather be too powerful then pushing my limits. Any tips you have would be much appreciated. I've been using PCPartPicker to help select components. Here's what I've got so far...
