Could anyone help?
I updated an antivirus recently and needed to restart my computer to finish it, but the blue screen stop error appears each time. I tried pressing F8 to try and start in safe mode but pressing it doesn't do anything, it goes straight to the blue screen. Here are the error details:
stop: 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XA7F59B78, 0XBA4F3B80, 0XBA4F387C) mdvrmng.sys

I'd greatly appreciate help with this, thank you.

Well an online search says...

http://www.file.net/process/mdvrmng.sys.html
"Mdvrmng.sys is a Windows driver. A driver is a small software program that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or connected devices."

Since you are unable to boot to windows and you are unable to access safe mode your only other option would be to insert your windows disk and use the repair option. This should allow you to repair your windows files and NOT lose anything you have currently installed or saved.

Update!
I tried again, and actually managed to get my computer to start in safe mode. Now, what can I do to fix the error that occurred (I assume it's a problem with the mdvrmng.sys drive)?
