Plugging in charger while using laptop turns off screen. Wifi and battery lights also off, but leaves power light on. To reboot, have to do the bad hold the power button down till off, then back on. (Dell 620) 1) This method of shutting off damaging? 2) What's up with the charger causing this? Note that the laptop is fine if the charger if plugged in before turn-on, just throws fit if plugged in during use.
