Does a Blu-Ray player play/run/read CD-ROM's

Hey, I'm building a new pc and i've never used/Bought a Blu-Ray player.
I was wondering if they could play CD-Rom's to run files and install things on my computer through it.
This is the one im looking to buy.

I was just wondering if I bought this if I wouldn't have to buy an Additional CDROM drive.
I know it's probably a really stupid question, but I don't want to be wasting money.

a blu ray drive should be able to write and read CD, DVD, and BluRayDisc
BUT ACCORDING TO THE LINK YOU PROVIDED that drive only reads CD's. You cant burn a CD if I understand that right. But if you burn a CD on a diff...

BUT ACCORDING TO THE LINK YOU PROVIDED that drive only reads CD's. You cant burn a CD if I understand that right. But if you burn a CD on a diff computer, it will read in the BLuray drive (i.e install from a CD)
