I have the nzxt source with 2 rosewill led fans ontop. i have one connected to a port that says pwr fan and the cpu fan is connected to cpu fan1 but there is another set of pins that say cpu fan 2. is it okay if i plug the case fan into that one or is that a bad idea? its not that big of a deal if i dont or not , it will just look alot cleaner in my case.

You can, but it's temperature will change with the other CPU fan and they will both scale up and down relative to the CPU temperature, and you may not want a case fan that is controlled by the CPU temp rather than the ambient air temp or just a fixed RPM but thats up to you. Just things to be aware of.
