So I am a gamer and building a new rig and I would like to know whether I'd get better frames per second using AMD or Intel? Please respond

Intel, always go with Intel CPU's.

Intel, but it comes at a price. AMD often offer more performance for your money. Not always though.

Also, next time you better search the web for an answer of a question like this, this has been debated to infinity. Even here on Tomshardware several times.

it doesnt matter much the performance at most price points will be similar(+- 5 frames) depending on the games. if you are doing other things than gaming and have programs that can take advantage of hyper threading then go intel if not then amd will offer better performance since they usually have more cores

But I hear AMD's cores are weak even if they have more they don't match the power of Intel's. And depending on what games? Plus I plan to do simple rendering like rendering Minecraft videos
