ive been trying to play bf4 for days now and cant get more than 3 or so minutes of game play in before "leaving the level" shows up on my battle log page and my bf4 window closes. this happens every time....

i just updated to windows 8.1 so I feel like that may be the issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, no dice (get it? lol) any help would be greatly appreciated

Windows 8.1 Pro
Intel i7-3770
16gb corsair vengeance
GTX 660 SC in SLI
MSI Z77A GD65

Sounds like punk buster. If your single player works absolutely fine no worries then i'd definitely suspect punk buster. battle log is pretty poop when it comes to error messages because i crash sometimes, just would randomly crash no matter how long, but then again i noticed i was getting kicked (i'm pretty sure) when my K/D was really high.. Maybe..

Download this and select BF4 and get it too update the punk buster (I haven't tested this my self from this site as i'm on my mac.. nor have i used this program in a long time but i remember you had to select your desired game then update it :)

does single player mode work? have you tried compatibility mode? if so then it seems to be a common problem with 8.1, although it might not be specific in your case - some websites are stating it may be related to a graphics driver issue

judging by one comment here, it may just be a bug in the games multiplayer mode conflicting with 8.1

if no suggestions work, I think all you can do is wait for an official update from EA, so bookmark and keep an eye on ea answers

I've been using 8.1 Pro since Beta. Like everyone else it didn't matter which OS you had, there were crashes. Since the latest drivers and patch, no problems. The links xtnt provided were before the latest patches updated drivers.

Does the mobo have the latest bios and settings correct?

Was it an upgrade or fresh OS install? Also, if reinstalling BF4, don't do a repair install, do a complete full reinstall.

Try a different browser.
