Hello, for the passed 2 weeks I am without Internet! Which some how I managed to live with out! The problem is that my Wifi just suddenly drops, I dont know why it drops, the bars for the wifi are usually excellent and or good. But 2 weeks ago and even before that time I noticed that my wifi kept cutting out or just completely being turned off! I know its not my router nor is it my wifi Adapter. The PCI card (wifi adapter) status is always green and the model is TP-Link WDN4800 450mps. I cant do school work or GAME! But I am the only computer in the whole house of devices that does not work.

I called many computer stores, called tech support for ASUS, TP-Link and Microsoft...None of them helped me with the issue. And I also have the latest driver.

Can someone please help me et through this once and for all? Because this is really annoying and frustrating! Thanks a lot! Have questions just ask me!?

Thanks hope you guys help! :)

Windows 7 or 8 or something else?

If you look at the device manager do you see the wireless adapter and does it say that it is working correctly?

I would try two things to start. First go into your network control panel, manage wireless networks, delete your wireless network. Restart your computer and re-detect your network and choose it, enter passkey, and check the auto connect box.

If that fails to fix the issue then change your wireless card MAC address with this free simple app from HERE.

We'll go on from there if that fails.

Just run it like any program and follow the directions that are in the middle of the page under "How To Change MAC Address."

If that does not work, then open an elevated command prompt box (right click run as admin), type this then hit enter key and post the results of the text file that will show up on your C drive to the thread here: ipconfig /all >C:\ipconfig.txt

Your TP-LINK 450Mbps Wireless N Adapter is turned off, and there are no other enabled network adapters of any kind. Look at the list -- they all say media disconnected for the media state.

You need to check in the device manager and see if the device says that it is working correctly and that the drivers are updated.

Alright, so the device status is working properly and on the back of the Tp link its green under status, also I do have the latest driver. So I would like to know what I should do next, because its all updated and everything.

The adapter may just have failed -- all indications are that it should be working but it is not. Are you 100% certain that nothing has bumped the card and that it is properly seated in the PCIe slot?

I would go into the device manager and right click on the adapter, and uninstall it. Then restart your computer and reinstall the device, with Windows 7 it may do that automatically, if not run the driver installer and see it that helps. Take a look at your adapter manual for details. If your adapter detects networks, use the icon in the system tray (lower right corner) to select your network and enter your passkey again and check the auto connect box.

Well what I have done just now is for the 15th time I have gone to my basement and restarted my router, then I come up and that it has bars, but with a yellow triangle. So would you know how to fix that problem now?

As long as your wireless card says that the media state is disconnected in the ipconfig results you cannot connect no matter what lights may or may not flash. The yellow triangle indicates that there is a problem, which you already know. Try running the wireless troubleshooter, but I would still uninstall and reinstall the whole card.
