How do I get rid of the black border? model: FHX2153L

I recently connected my laptop to a new Gateway monitor - FHX2153L and cannot get rid of the black border. Can anyone help me? Thx

You connected it via a hdmi cable? Search a parameter called overscan in your graphics driver and set it to zero. If you can't find it, post the exact model of your laptop.
