Recovery partition with drivers

I bought a computer that came with Win8 and I replaced it with Win7 OEM on a new SSD. The problem is that I don't have a recovery partition that INCLUDES the drivers needed for the hardware. I just did a clean install using the OEM disk and now I have to download drivers all over again. I don't want to manually download the drivers each time I want to reboot in the future.

1. So, how can I create a recovery partition/backup that will allow me to reboot to the current settings (with all the drivers installed)?

Also, I googled "create bootable recovery partition" and the results showed two videos which both require downloading something called EasyBCD in order to create the bootable partition.
2. Is this software safe?

3. Is there something else I should do besides creating a bootable drive to achieve what I'm looking for: restoring my computer to a certain state before some problem happens in the future?

Drivers for a particular OS-hardware config only have to be downloaded once. Put them on a CD or USB stick. I have a set for all of my PC's, in case I need to reinstall the OS. I refresh every few months in case of updated drivers.

for your #3 - Create an "image". CloneZilla, DriveImageXML, or others....these will save the current C (or other) drive to another location. When needed, restore from that.

I think maybe I asked the wrong question. Perhaps Backup and Restore is more of what I need. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm watching a few videos on youtube but I don't quite understand how it would work.

Does it create a bootable image and does it have to be saved externally on another drive or a dvd disc? So, in the future if I get a virus then I should be able to get my computer to the last restore point?
