I want to replace my power supply with better quality one and upgrade graphics card. I am not sure if it is compatible with motherboard, and not sure if its enough watts for new gpu.
Replacing xtreme gear xg-H700, with a CORSAIR CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3. Motherboard is MSI 760GM - P23(fx). Processor is AMD fx-8120. Memory is 2x4gb. I want to upgrade from Powercolor AMD radeon 6670 1gb ddr3 to something around this range, ASUS Radeon HD 7870 GHz.
I don't plan to upgrade anything else after this gpu and psu. So I am hoping 600w is plenty for this? I was a bit confused by some of the selections on the watt calculator links I've seen around. So I'm trying this route.

Yes, it will be plenty of power for u. The HD7770 uses 80-95 watts, and 7870 uses like 100-125ish watts. I have the FX-8120 myself, and it's a great CPU. It only uses 125W of power, so u are as safe as possible. Remember to check your PSU's ratings and guarantees, it is ALWAYS important to buy a safe and trusted model. Then you can play safely without worrying too much about explosions and crashes.
