I mostly play WOW, Tribes Ascend, Runescape, Skyrim, Combat Arms, Black ops.

I run at 1440x900 res on my monitor and im planning on keeping that so keep that in mind.

I am building a budget pc for 600$ i can maybe stretch to 650.

I have a monitor/mouse but will need an OS as well as a keyboard with my build. can be a cheap 10 keyboard and i would prefer windows 8.

Also, I don't use much storage so i'm sure 500gb would be fine.

Solution
looks good on the ram see if there some that are onsale. on the power supply see if the 600cx is on sale. you dont want when gaming the power supply to over heat or shut down. make sure the 12v line wattage and amps have about 100w more then you need.

I really like this system with the FX-6300.

The only thing i'm questioning is the video card. While I am new to computer I have done a lot of looking around and the reviews for the 7870 are not what I would like.

Is there anything else I could go with?

I heard a 650ti is a good option but i'm not sure where that puts me, Thanks!

Other then that this build looks pretty good.

HDD is also pretty low rated?

Ah yes I think this is exactly what i'm looking for. Probably go with a 500gb HDD instead since 250 might be a little bit too small for me.

What settings would I be able to play wow with the 30-50 fps range with no crazy drops?
As well as my other games if anyone has an idea.

Also, for the CPU do I need to buy a CPU cooler?
I know some come with them, just wondering if its viable enough to work and protect my expensive parts.

With all the parts listed is this everything I need to build the computer from the ground up?
No extra cables/extensions or anything like that?

I'm really new to this so sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly.

no one else has any more input on this?

Im new to the computer world and everyone keeps telling me to build one.

I would love to do that but with out some moderate help I doubt i'll be able to feel comfortable doing so.

Any help is appreciated, Seriously.

the nvidia card that lines up with the 7870 is the 660. the 650 boost is a little slower then the 660. right now if you can get some extra cash the 670 are 199 with rebates on parts picker. the three parts in a pc is your power supply the cpu and the gpu. most motherboards give you one sata cable..i would pick up another just to make sure you have two. amd cpu cooler not bad if your going to game hard look to an evo 212 cooler (30.). the only other parts you need is some plastic tye wraps for cable management. all the screws you need will come with the case.

I changed out the Memory and the Case, With all this is that all I need?

This is the system im going with if it looks okay.

I picked a couple things out myself and just want to make sure its all compatible. :)

Awesome.

I know that the PSU is ran by a 12v line but what do you mean wattage and amps? If i need to go to 600 i will i just thought 500 would be plenty.

If i need to go to 600 PSU it wouldn't be much of a cost difference anyways.

Thanks a lot for all the responses. I'm going with this build!

Overall i'm really excited about it.
Never built a computer but i'm sure I can do it.
I've been watching the newegg videos on how to build as they seem pretty extensive.

When i'm done with the build i'll post it on pcpartpicker.

Estimated buying time : December 25th
