I recently purchased a new caddy for my external 1tb Iomega hard drive because the usb connection on my old one became faulty.
My hard drive still works when I hold the usb connector a certain way but I have a lot of important files on it so I bought a new caddy.
When I connected the new caddy to the computer it says I need to format the hard drive.
I went into disk management and its says that there is over 800gb unallocated space.
Is there anyway around this problem without having to format the hard drive.
