Evening folks.

I've just installed a new RM850 into my PC, along with a new Corsair C70 Case.
Looks brilliant.
My old PSU was causing problems on the 12V rail for me and seeing as the AIB R290's will be here shortly I thought I'd upgrade so I'm ready to "Plug n Play"
Unfortunately, its not been all fun an games, since installing my new PSU, I cant get my CPU OC Stable at the same settings. My previous PSU was an Antec CP-850 which was brilliant until I had a power surge and since then its been coughing up Graphics cards like nothing.

Any ideas why this could happen? Maybe I had a poor chip and the CP-850's Voltage Regulation on the CPU side was so good it made it possible to OC? Just seems that since I installed this new PSU I cant get it stable on any OC. Its horrible.

measure your 3.3, 5, and 12v rail with digital multimeter..while idle and full load..
not with software, but digital multimeter hardware..a real digital multimeter..a real one..:D

if it show stable or just show very little drop while load, that's mean your psu is okay..
but if it drop too much, congratulations, then you've already bought a faulty and defective a corsair gold psu..:D like usual, rma it..

if your psu is okay, then try to reseat all connector..make sure all of it connected well..
if all of your connector is okay, try to build your machine outside the case..may you have some electricity short..
if you have already build it outside the case, but problem still persist, then -once more again-, congratulations :D, then your processor is already degrade..well, please easy with your processor, decrease the clock and see the result..
if you already decrease your clock but problem still persist, well..then there's something wrong your motherboard...:D

Update - Seems to be ok now @4.4Ghz with the ASUS Auto OC...

This may be related to the fact that every time I put my side panel on the OC fails, and I've left my side panel hanging off

My side panel crushes my fans into the motherboard cause the PH-TC14PE has issues fitting in this case :/ sounds weird but it sounds like the motherboard or RAM is being put under stress when I force my side panel on, and its causing my PC to crash and my BIOS to think the OC Failed.
