Did you connect the speaker to the motherboard? Check if it got loose. Do you get any led lights on? Green or red? They should normally start red, but then as it performs post it turns green, unless you have issue. Did you connect the DVD drive and HDD/SSD? Is there a led light next to their connectors? How do you connect the monitor? Try using onboard port- DVI or VGA. Leave only 1 memory stick- check manual to what port it should be placed.

I had the same issue with my asrock 970 ex4. After days of trying to figure out the problem and pulling my hair out, I realized the mobo came from the factory with the CMOS jumper on the absolute wrong spot. The jumper was installed on some pins for "PLED". Check to make sure the cmos jumper is installed in the right spot. The pins for the CMOS jumper are located directly under the LED display and says "clrcmos". There are 3 pins, the jumper must be installed on the innermost two pins to work.

on the asrock site you need to look up asrock 970 extreme3 r2.0 product then check the RAM compatibilitie, it will say that an AMD FX processor only goes up to 1866mhz,

I got the same build but i got a 6-core, and g skill 2133mhz ripjawz-x,
The only issue i have is that it gives me 5 post beeps and i think it is the ram that is causing the trouble. Dont know forsure
