You HAVE to follow the instructions because you will need to make a small edit to make Starter an option when you install.

You NEED to have a COA sticker on your system to get the key required to activate.

I am also with you on how bad it is to not include recover DVD's with systems. hard drives/ssds DIE plain and simple.
