Hey guys, so I pretty much am just asking to see if all these components will fit/work together.

Case: Bitfenix Prodigy
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: Gigabyte R9 270x
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe
Memory: G. Skills Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB
PSU: Antec Earthwatts Platinum 650W

I've read that some people had problems with fitting the CPU cooler on the motherboard, but other than that, how does the build look? Any parts you would recommend over these at the same price?

As a general observation for a gaming machine you are probably a bit heavy on CPU vs graphics card budgets.

That motherboard has Wifi built in, you shouldn't need a wireless adapter.

16Gb of ram is probably overkill, but given you only have 2 ram slots on an ITX board it does make more sense than on a board with 4 slots where you can upgrade easily.

Depending on where you are, and how much stuff costs, a 270X makes no sense in a price/performance comparison.

Caviar Black is an awful lot more expensive than a Caviar Blue drive usually, and no faster. Again the price/performance ratio is a bit skewed. Same with a Barracuda.

That PSU is incredibly expensive. There are a lot of solid options that cost anything from half the price upwards.

What's your budget? Get the Prodigy M or the new Phenom M, as those boards work with mITX as opposed to mATX. And yeah as was stated you don't need 16GB of RAM for gaming and you should also get new hardware as opposed to one that's now over a year old.

I'd actually disagree on this one. I have two standard Prodigys (Prodigies?) and while there is a lot of space inside, the way they've chosen to use that space in the PhenomM/ProdigyM/CollossusM to me seems counter productive, as you can't really exploit any of the advantages of the mATX format. Big disappointment to me as a lot of the modded Prodigy cases with mATX boards seemed to work really well.

Okay, thanks for the replies. I chose 16GB of RAM because I need it for video rendering, and if I could save enough money before I bought the parts, I am gonna try to get a Sapphire R9 280x Toxic. Is that a good card or should I go even higher?

The reason I say the 270X isn't very good is just because it's priced too high relative to the HD7870 (depending on where you are buying) and it's not a whole lot different. An R9 280X Toxic is a very good card, but among the most expensive 280X you can buy (a really big jump in price). There are probably better value for money prospects.

Razer, I found that PSU you mentioned. Do you know if I'll need any more cables than it has with it being semi-modular? And Rammy, do you know of any cards that would be cheaper, but similar in performance to the 280x?

Semi modular usually just means that the motherboard power cables are hardwired, though in the case of the XFX it also has a double PCIe cable attached too.

What country are you in and how much are you looking to spend? Different markets have slightly different relative prices. I'd probably look at the cheaper end of the R9 280X spectrum if you want one of them (the Gigabyte version is usually well priced for example).

Then you are looking at $360-375 for a Toxic, which is quite a lot. You can pick up a similarly specced Gigabyte R9 280X for $305, and there's other cards from MSI, Asus and HIS which aren't much more expensive. You also have the GTX770 to consider if you aren't set on AMD, which is in the same bracket and pretty similar in performance.
