More about guys build
  1. the cpu wont fit the mobo
  2. you need a 1150 4xxx series (4670k best choice)
  3. the psu is overkill so you can shave a bit on it. personally thought i've always been a fan of overpowered psu units for builds so if you can afford it keep it.
  4. the 290 is a mixed emotion for me... one one hand i know it's a great card for the money however amd has soo many problems with the stock cooler that i can't help but recommend you wait for a custom cooler version. or get the 780 (ti?)
  5. im a total idiot when it comes to computers..this build was recommended to me by a friend that recently built his destop..so im a little confused. would i be looking towards a i7 then? in regards to the psu, i asked my friend if i could make it with a 500w. he told me a 850 would be the best bet so i went with that one.would a 500w be fine then? can you please explain the graphics card issue please?
  6. a forum post is probably not the best place... short version is, the card is good but it can and will get hot. the reviews around the web are mixed on it because the reference cooler is also reportedly loud. if your friend got one ask him about his experience with it. if he's happy chances are you will see no reason to not like it either.

    cpu: i5 4670K is fine
stick to the 850W psu. it's overpowered (you could get away with a 500-700W one too but safer with the 850W).
  7. can you direct me to the place i should post it in? i just made the account and am new to this website so im not sure where to post. oh i understand..he suggested me to stick with amd becasue he said that its more closely used with console gaming like the ps3 and xbox or even the ps4 an xbox one. also he didnt mention any problems that you named so i was on board. i just saw that the i7 cpu is maybe 50 dollars more. would an i7 cpu conflict with the build? i cant afford that graphics card haha. could you give me another alternative? in wiling to spend about 300-400 $ on a graphics card alone.
  8. i meant it's a long story with the 290 gpu and it probably has pages and pages of discussions already...

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107.html is a nice review of the recent gpus.

i would suggest the 280x if you want an amd or gtx 770 if you prefer nvidia.

if you found the i7 4770K at just 50usd over the i5 4670K then yes. it's worth it.

i suggested the i5 4670K intead of i7 4770K because your initial list had the father of the i5 (prev gen correspondent)
  10. yeah ill probably go with the gtx, just to be on the safe side. are the other parts fine?
  11. oh i forgot haha. is the motherboard ok? that was the part that i spent the most on researching but im still unsure
  12. Best answer
    yep
  13. Oh ok thank you very much for your help
