I have a friend who is looking to buy a laptop that will be mainly used for light gaming (minecraft, league of legends) and web browsing. His budget is 700 to 800 USD.

Before anyone recommends buying a desktop, I've already told him he'd be much happier with his performance if he went for a custom built desktop, however he's set on getting a laptop because he wants portability and does not plan on doing "hardcore" gaming.

What would be the performing laptop he could get for 700 to 800 USD?

Thanks.

I think you missed the key word "laptop".

I looked up the laptop and the lowest I could find it for was $785 and it doesn't include an OS, so it ends up going over budget after picking up an OS. Are there any other laptops/models that are cheaper?
