Building a Ne PC for aroung $5000

Hey inzone,

I know, It's been a while!!! I live in Jersey (Unfortunately lol), and have been working 12 hour days froma all the damage from Hurricane Sandy..........still to this day!!
y house actually got hit pretty badly and I didn't even know it. As you walk around my house, there is one side of the roof that you can't see and most of the shingles were gone!!! My Back neighbor just lost his wife to cancer and he was living with his Son for a few weeks. When he came home he went out into his yard and saw the damage to my house andcalled me. We were wondering why our ceilings were getting stains?? Thought it was the plumbing, we had that trouble before.
Anyway, we were covered with insurance, Thank God, and they gave us $21,000 to replace the roof, skylights, and 4 ceilings were damaged. the 2 on the top left of the house and eventually it trickeld down to the 2 on the left first floor. Good thing my neighbor came home when he did or we might have had to gut half the house.
Plus I've been working on others homes 12 hours a day like ai said b4. We Really got hit Hard!!!
So that's pretty much where I've been.

The only thing with the Mobo, is the new Asus X79 Deluxe is a pretty nice board

I really like this board Very Much So!!! It's getting compatable Ram for it is tough. I'm looking to put in 32 gigs of dominator Plus.
But I'm gonna take your advice I think and go with the DARK Mobo like you are!!!!
As your seeing, parts are hard to get right now. I cant even get the PSU I want yet. It's sold out everywhere I buy from.
I've herd this about the Titan Cards, the 780TI does give better performance.
What's nice about the way I'm buying parts , is that newer things have come out in the last 3-4 months that I would have already put into my build. So i'm kinda glad I've been so busy!!!
I'll check out the Amd card as well..........although it's hard to get me to switch!
I'll take your advice and wait till these Black edition's are available, or maybe just buy it now at sale pice like you did with the Mobo. I'll have to wait n c when the Black titan edition comes out.

I Knew I was gonna have to get the bios update for the Haswell to work, but I'm actually gonna go on Newegg when IU'm done typing to you and try to order the Haswell Ready Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition!!
I was gonna get a 1500 watt PSU because they were out of stock on the Corsair 100i AX with the Link System. But I already have theLink system, so that would be kinda stupid lol.
I really wanna c for myself just how good the GUI from Corsair's Lin System reall is. It's nice that It came with Lights...........This Baby's gonna Glow lol/
I did get the H100i plus 4 fans to try for the push pull config, but I'll have to c how everthiing fits and what kinda mods I have to do to make it all work. I've seen it done n it looks sweet!
I'm also changing the top 2 fans to the LED Red as well as the sid e door one as well, and the rear one to an Led red also.
The one thing I liked about the new Asus X79 Deluxe and the newer PS X79 Deluxe is the UASP function on the usb 3.0 ports. That's kinda Inportant to me caus e I d run a Small 5 Bay Synology DS-1513+ Server for now, n transfer speed are Very Important to me!
I do Have a 4 port Highpoint USB 3.0 card that all 4 ports do run at UASP speeds simultaniusly. So If it's not built into the Mobo, It's no real biggie.
Since you have odered the Black edition Rampage Iv, Do u know if it runs the UASP 3.0 speeds?

Check out the specs on that New X79 Mobo, it's pretty badass for the price.
Do you rem me asking you about the ASRock Extreme 11? Well I was just about to buy it for $480 bucks, and the storm hit so I waited. When I finally went back on to check out what new came out,
I went back to Amazon where I had put the Extreme 11 in my cart at $480 and it said the price had gone up.....to $780 Dollars!!! No BS.I shoulda bought it then, but then I'd be looking to get this Black ramp IV

I do plan on getting 32 gigs of Dominator Platinum ( TY for That Tip with the Link) I didn't know that, as well as a 1TB Samsung 840 Pro Evo SSD!
as far as the GPU cards, I'm still undecided. I'm in a band and do ALOT of audio editing and now i'm starting to get into some Video editing.
Your advice is On The Money!!!! Like I said, I'm buying in parts so there is supposed to be a Black edition Titan about to hit the market. So I may wait to check that out!

Your pretty much right , but the X edition is a bit better. I don't wanna have to change Anything for at least 4-5 years, so I'm going with the more expensive one!
