Lol, leave the door off the case, and it's an antec psu, which is a good brand...
I didn't really look at what I was throwing together, I was just showing that it's very possible to build it for under 800.
And you could even build your own case out of plexi glass for 10 bucks, I've done it before.
It's not the best way to go about it, I would hold off on the cooler until you can save more money, and really just try and get another 100 dollars together so that you can build the rig with quality in mind.

Well I guess if he doesn't care what it looks like he could but the PSU isn't good. Even though it's Antec it's probably a tier 5 PSU and could risk taking out the whole system if it malfunctions.

That is indeed a very decent build... should run anything you throw at it on decent settings for quite a while, and will always be able to handle a gpu upgrade.

This is as close as you will get performance wise, you just won't be able to overclock it.

For future reference, Tyler, you need to do more research before you start giving advice to people. The PSU you put in your list, is just crap. Fist thing it can't support a GTX 770. A 770 requires one 8 pin and one 6 pin PCI-E power connector. The PSU that you picked has only one 6 pin PCI-E power connector. And the wattage is already way to low! at 450 watts you would be lucky to run a HD 7750 on that thing! And its not even 80 plus certified, which means it has less than 80% efficiency, so probably around 70% efficiency. And 450 with only 70% effiency would be 315 "real" watts. And the GPU usually pulls 230W, so you are trying to run the rest of the system on 85W. And I'm not kidding here but the CPU pulls 84W. So that means, everything else in the computer has to run off of 1W. Like seriously dude, do more research next time.

I threw that together in a matter of seconds just to show that it could be done, but then I said- just kind of threw that together to show you what you could do with that budget.
Definitely a good idea to save up for that cpu gpu combo, as they are very good.

Never Recommended buying it, just giving him an idea of the budget... and that Definitely a good idea to save up for that cpu gpu combo, as the are very good infers that he should save up for quality parts.
Maybe that was misconstrued, but I'm just trying to help out.

My friend made a pretty decent pc for just short of £500 by using the AMD 6320 and the Radeon 7850.

Not a spectacular pc, but can run games well including BF3 on ultra. Whoever said it can't be done couldn't be more wrong.
